Communicates your retirement concerns to the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, the County Executive, and the Board of Trustees of the Employees’ Retirement System.
Is your advocate to promote equity among ALL Fairfax County retirement plans.
Publishes a bimonthly newsletter (six times a year) for its membership (Hot Flashes).

Keeps Board of Supervisors appraised of the impact of raising health care costs on retiree pensions
Represents retirees’ interest by appointing an FCREA representative to vote on Selection Advisory Committees when County is selecting providers for health care, dental insurance, life insurance, etc.
Works with retirees’ elected representatives on the Supplemental Retirement System’s Board of Trustees.
It provides a place for retirees to get together and socialize.
